Hello Kitty Eyeglass Holder

Well, what do we have here???

Home of Radiation!

Does that say "Glasses Stand" ?!?!

I am a glasses/spectacles wearer, and my glasses are constantly getting knocked over from the nightstand when I go to hit the snooze button in the morning. Solving that problem is of course, a Hello Kitty Eyeglass Holder.

Currently, it's a Japan only item. This is a must have for any serious Hello Kitty fan, even if it's only for your sunglasses.

She's just beggin to hold my glasses!

This hole where her brain should be can hold a cleaning cloth.

"Do these look too BIG for my face?"

Although offered on Amazon through Dream Kitty, I purchased it from J-List since I've shopped with them before. They ship quickly and have wonderful customer service. Again, I highly recommend getting this "eyeglass stand" because not only is it useful, but so very cute!

Hello Kitty Finds At Wal-Mart, May 2011

I love Wal-Mart, but if Sanrio ever decides to go full blast like they do at Target, I might have to seriously reconsider collecting/hoarding Hello Kitty.

I absolutely cannot stand Hello Kitty butterfly along with a few other designs. It's outdated and tacky. $2.97?!?! I think not!

Classic and goes great with any occasion or craft item, so I bought it.

I love this one, but didn't pick it up because I wasn't sure what I could use it with. If it wasn't for the font, chances are I would have gotten it. I feel like they should offer the other animals as well, especially
Kitty Panda.

That's it for Wal-Mart - and thank goodness!

Hello Kitty Finds At Old Navy, April 2011

I went to Old Navy on a quest to find a shirt for my best friend. Of course, I'd stumble onto Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty tin lunch boxes. I actually don't own one because I have about 5-6 lunchboxes that I rotate regularly. Plus, I know I'd bashed in a tin one since I'm going to so many places throughout the day.

Beneath the tins, there were these awesome beach towels. I'll have to say that for a store that nationally advertises low prices, their Hello Kitty beach towels were more expensive than the Target ones that were only $9.99.

The TY Plush keychain has been out for awhile, but I'm sure it makes for a great grab item by the register.

The kids bathing suits are so adorable! I wish they had these in grown up sizes!

Unfortunately, the XL for Girls at Old Navy runs smaller than the Target ones that can fit me. I wish these shirts came for adults because I don't find them as kiddish as some of the adult shirts that are currently offered at other stores.

Overall, there are awesome shirts and bathing suits for the little ones. Personally, I'd stay from the towel and plushes that can be found cheaper at other stores. Their site listing offers less Hello Kitty outfits than what I saw at the store which can be a let down for online shoppers. I hope they'll work on offering items that are in the store locations to their online customers. Lastly, I found the shirt my friend was looking for!

Cherry Blossom Festival 2011

One of the best events that San Francisco has to offer, is the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown.

This year's overall theme was to support, fundraise, and donate to Japan. I have participated in previous years in the festival itself, but every year I can always count on the Sanrio booth as well as other great Japanese Hello Kitty finds.

The arc of awesomeness! It was hard to get a decent picture of this entrance since the live band was next to the Sanrio booth. There was a gazillion people walking by so I tried my best.

As soon as I walked in, I bought a shirt. The previous two years, I was too busy with the festival to pick up a shirt. By the time I'd get to the booth, they would already sell out. You could probably imagine how happy I was to finally get one. A bit expensive, but the majority of the proceeds were going to Japan.

$10 would buy you a page of tickets that you could redeem for tickets. The fishing pool was so much fun because as soon as you use the paper pan to swift up a charm, the paper would break the second it hit the water.

I played this one 2-3 times and twice I got the grand prize of 3 prize tickets to redeem.

Chocopanda Ball Throw was a hit with the younger ones.

Close-up of the backboard because it was so darn cute!

Japanese on the bag which I thought was pretty nifty because they could have used any cheap plastic baggy.

Of course I'd get Hello Kitty! My second love is Badtz-Maru. I actually caught a total of 3 charms, but they fell from the paper pan so the lady working the booth just picked up 2 for me.

With all the prize tickets from the various game booths, I used it to redeem a Hello Kitty thermos. There were plenty of prizes to choose from, but I had the majority of them.

With the booth tickets, you could use a flyer to redeem a paper fan inside the store location in the mall.

Not the best Mystery Bag from Sanrio, but decent. The ring/sticker I will give away, but the notebook I'll keep. Also, there was a small shopping bag charm which will go straight to my charm collection.

One of my Must-Go-To Stores in Japantown is Ichiban Kan. They have numerous Japan-Only Hello Kitty items at a bargain. There's not a constant turnout of Hello Kitty items, but I'll make it there whenever there's a new Hello Kitty line of products.

These are great for using as a gift bag, shopping, or traveling since they don't absorb water.

These are the ones I picked up.

Hello Kitty paper gift bags.

Hello Kitty plastic bags. As it is, I hate plastic bags so I didn't bother buying these.

These Hello Kitty wafers were on clearance because of their expiration date. I really don't care because Hello Kitty on any food item is always a must have!

Picked these up about 2 years ago already, these bunch are super magnets with a strong hold.

Bought the sleeper blindfold because it was absolutely adorable. Also, you can never have enough plastic containers.

As always, I can count on Japantown to bring home some wonderful hard to get Hello Kitty items. I can't wait for next year's festival!

Hello Kitty Coin Capsule And Charm

I absolutely love Hello Kitty charms, especially when they're $1.00 or less. Gacha/Tomy is back with a new Hello Kitty charm collection called Hello Kitty Charm In Coin Capsule.

4 quarters system. This particular dispenser can be found at the Pacific East Mall in Richmond, Ca.

Each charm comes with a flyer of all charms in the collection.

I got pink, purple, and red. I really want blue, but after $10, I gave up. There was no telling how close I was to a blue hitting the bottom of the machine.

I think this is one of the better charm collections from the TOMY machines because you get 2 surprises for only $1.00. There's the plastic shell which is a coin bank, and then you get the phone charm inside. The coin bank is similar to the Hello Kitty Car Freshner Collection.

They charms are semi-transparent.

Does anybody have the Blue Charm???

Hello Kitty Finds At Best Buy, April 2011

Best Buy recently started to sell more Hello Kitty items. Knowing this, I went on a brief hunt.

7.1MP is pretty decent compared to their previous cameras. I would love to do a product review for such a cute item!

I have the headphones on the top left, and they don't stay in the ears. I know rubber buds might last longer because they don't disintegrate as easily as the foam ones, but at least the foam ones stay in the ear. Anybody else have this issue with rubber ear buds?

They are super adorable, but the sound on them is pretty awful. The wire near the connector started to go out on mine during my second use so I had to exchange them for a new pair. Hopefully, these will last a lot longer.

Best Buy has a lot more items, but I didn't have the time to take more pictures. My next trip back, I'm thinking of picking up a mini-speaker for my iPod.

Hello Kitty Finds At Target, April 2011

There's a new Target in Emeryville so of course it was the perfect reason to check out the Hello Kitty goods that would be lurking.

So many cute items already gone! I really wanted the hat, but it wouldn't fit my big head.

I'm in love with the multiple Hello Kitty heads design.

I picked up the pink one in XL, and the design is in silver sparkles.

More multiple heads! The kids umbrella is perfect because they're small enough to fit in a purse or even the water bottle pocket of a backpack. Plus, they're a lot cheaper than the ones in the Sanrio stores which can easily go for 3x the price that's shown for this one.

Every spring there's a new beach theme towel. A Hello Kitty Beach Towel is a very great item to have because besides the beach, it's great for the gym as well. They're thin and light, making it easy to throw into a gym bag.

Personally, I would love to have both of these. I'm into a darker pink which is the underlying color theme for the set on the left, but who doesn't want all the Sanrio friends to come along on the right?

The bed pillow has been around forever now, they really need to design and start selling a new theme. I never bought this pillow because it's such an awkward uncomfortable shape for me. I'm constantly seeing this pillow? plush? on Craigslist. The fleece throw on the right was so soft to the touch. I have 5 different designs of these, and I must say they are wonderful for pets, the car and couch, and especially for cold nights in the bedroom.

Towel meets with hoodie which then crashes into a Snuggie.

One can only dream!

I love small Hello Kitty figures!

I really wanted a Tuxedo Sam one.

If you can't find a Hello Kitty poster to put display, buy a puzzle and frame it.

I couldn't wait to post this picture! Every spring the new Hello Kitty Easter Bucket comes out with a different design. Target will sell out of these right away! I no longer buy the buckets because they just sit around the house. But, who can resist the floppy ears?

Well, the bucket has to be filled now, doesn't it?

Only $2!

Soooo much to take in! The lip gloss rings make for an awesome accessory for a night out. The nails have pretty designs, but stick on nails don't work for me.

As always, Target has a variety of Hello Kitty items to offer. I'm hoping my next Target post will be when the Hello Kitty Dollar theme comes back.
